About Me

My name is Alice Burrows and I live in Totnes, Devon in the UK. My colourful household consists of myself, my partner, our son Oscar and our twin girls Daisy and Lotta.

I have a degree in textile design and I've been working from home under the name "alice apple" offically since 2008. My work includes sewing toys and home accessories along with designing CAD surface patterns and the occasional print with the Japanese "Gocco" printing machine, all of which I fit in around my daily family routine! If I have some (rare!) spare moments I also enjoy other crafts such as crochet, very basic knitting, paper cutting and collage, gouache painting, patchwork, applique, cross stitch, making clothes, and having a go at anything else which I like the look of!

I've had a passion for the 1960s and 70s for as long as I can remember and try to reflect this influence in my work. I take on surface pattern commissions and wholesale my toys and handmade items.
