More Dogs in Etsy Shop

I have finally managed to list some more "Mini Dachshunds" on my Etsy shop. Most of them are made from vintage fabrics. One in particular is an original 1960s design by Conran Fabrics (the pink/orange one pictured above) - I was able to squeeze a dog from the tiny piece I had left.

New Bunny Toys

As well as bold 60s fabrics I also love 1930s and 40s fabric prints. I've found a use for my small collection of these style fabrics by making little bunnies with crocheted heads hands and feet! I will be making these available on my Etsy shop soon, plus adding a few more with different fabrics and colours.

...a couple more

I couldn't resist changing a couple more. As well as fabric, I'd love to be able to produce my designs as wrapping paper.

Fabrics - New Colourways

I love working with different colour combinations and seeing how they work against one another, in fact yesterday I spent all my spare time playing around with my images on Spoonflower. I couldn't decide which to go with so I'm going to order all 8 fabric samples above - hopefully they'll become available in my Spoonflower shop soon. I'll post the results as soon as they arrive.

Fiep Westendorp Collection

As I am half Dutch on my mother's side I have been exposed to really great Dutch design and illustration from an early age. Possibly one of my all time favourite illustrators is Fiep Westendorp. She illustrated the famous "Jip en Janneke" children's story books by Annie MG Schmidt.

Whilst going (nearly every year) to Holland I tend to pick up a few items with Fiep's illustrations on. My favourite department store HEMA stocks loads of various children's games, toys & homewares using her drawing and I've accumulated quite a collection! The Jip en Janneke characters are the silhouetted boy and girl and the others are from other famous Dutch stories also by Annie MG Schmidt.

Cot Quilt

I finally completed the (entirely hand sewn!) quilt for my baby twin girls. In the picture its folded in half so its twice the size - one of the girls can use it on her bed when she's older...just one more to make!

Cross Stitch

I found a beautiful vintage cross stitch book from the 1970s and I've become a little bit addicted to making them. They take a while to complete but the results are really satisfying!
(p.s. not sure what's happened to my font...can't seem to get rid of the underlining)
